Jonathan did not starve EFCC of funds - EFCC

Press statement from the EFCC denying that GEJ starved the commission of funds...
The attention of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has been drawn to a report in The Sun newspaper of Tuesday, May 26, 2015, entitled, Jonathan Starved EFCC of Funds- Lamorde, in which the Executive Chairman of the Commission, Mr. Ibrahim Lamorde was quoted as indicting the out-going Jonathan administration of poor performance.
The Commission takes exception to this report which is pure fabrication by the author for reason best known to him.
In the first place, Lamorde who is currently out of the country did not speak with the media and could not have made the comments attributed to him by The Sun newspapers.

The occasion that provided the basis for the false report by The Sun was a media briefing by Mr. Wilson Uwujaren, spokesperson of the EFCC, who addressed more than 40 journalists from over 30 media organizations at the Commission’s monthly media briefing in Abuja on May 25, 2015. At no time during the event did Uwujaren comment on the performance or lack of it, by the Jonathan administration let alone accusing it of poor performance or starving the Commission of funds.

He was only asked a question on the Commission’s view on the focus which the in-coming Buhari administration places on the fight against corruption, to which he responded that the Commission, like most Nigerians who are bothered about the problem of corruption, welcomes the focus which he believes will further empower the EFCC in the pursuit of its mandate of fighting economic crimes and corruption. It is a great disservice to society when journalists fabricates and twist issues to serve motives that are not altruistic.

It is sad how so many people talk without thinking, 1 some clown wrote cute Manuel that the money was squandered by who ? Ur father right? Secondly a lot of people forget that mall am lamorde was the director of operation during the nuhu ribadu administration and did 99 percent of the job in the commission , thirdly during mrs waziri. Administration the commission was given 24 billion naira to run the commission today the commission is given less than 3 billion the budget is a public document that everybody has access to check ur facts before u come out on soclal media to write rubbish , the commission has offices in all the Jo political zones with lack of funds how do they operate, when u are arrested by the commission after investigation has been concluded u are now sent to court will lamorde also be the judge to prosecute? And lastly u don't have to write on a social media block cause u want to feel among I advise get ur facts then comment, @ bonario u said lamorde is a failure to this administration in what way? Have u as a good Nigerian given them an information about a corrupt person and the commission didn't respond? It time pple start blaming the judiciary and press the commission and all the operatives http put in soooo much to crack up cases while risking there lifes!

At ed dreamz u say Efcc is a body of corruption have u ever given anybody bribe in the commission ? U people open your mouth and talk nonsense , I can assure u that if u can mention even 1 person that collected bribe from u or anyone u know name the person and u will be shocked at what the commission will do to that person, the Efcc has zero tolerance to their staffs on issue of bribe , and they have also done series of disclaimer of members of the public that use the names of officials of the commission to collect money from innocent people and few have been charged to court , people even went as fair as opening offices and claimed it was Efcc office and collecting money from the public as I said in my first message I sent out get your facts right before u print rubbish on blogs

And where did you idiots perform so poorly? The answer is not far aware - corrupt officials. How many persecutions were done? With all the funds you allowed corruption to prevail with so much impunity at all levels particularly at the top!!!

Thanks for shedding light on this. Meanwhile, EFCC might also be questioned. Where have all the funds and properties the commission have recovered previously. What use had the funds be to the benefit of this nation?

The morbid hatred of Goodluck Ebele Jonathan by the Managing Editor/Editor-in-chief of the Sun Newspaper, Mr. Femi Adesina, is not only notorious but its odium reeks to high heavens. We are therefore not surprised that he would hide under a nincompoop hatchet job-man, Fred Itua, to continue his demonic hate campaign manifested in linking ex-Governor Ali-Modu Sheriff with Jonathan. We are, however surprised that ex-Governor Orji Uzor Kalu who is a fair-minded perfect gentleman would lend his Newspaper to be used by ethnic jingoists in pursuit of their myopic irredentist hate campaigns. Enough is enough.

The EFCC wasn't a failure in this administration, several fraudsters were persecuted and other financial criminals brought to book.

However, because they were not tormenting governors and chasing public office holders like during Obasanjo's time, they were regarded as failures!

What's the name of the head of the CIA or the FBI? You'd have to Google them, but under Obasanjo everybody knew Ribadu, why? Because our problem is we had seemingly strong leaders, but weak institutions. Ribadu and Obj ran amock on the governors as a political gimmick

Well asked question, when your assets is confiscated it is then auctioned and the cash goes back to thee federal government not the Efcc, what the commission does is to make sure u don't use your friends or associate to buy same assets that were taken away from u, secondly I hope people realize that the executive chairman is answerable to mr president who happens to still be the president up until Friday may 29, on the issue of governors and order public officers and members of the pdp won't not sit and let the commission make a mess of one of there own! If an instruction is given by tmr president it's common sense that lam order won't go against the instruction given , When his not dieanzi Allison that would get a letter from mr president and won't act, someone talked about the issue of governors http were arrested by the Efcc there case is in court go to the judiciary to find out Efcc has done it bit , For instants let me remind Nigerians About the pension case that the commission with the operatives worked so hard for several months of sleepless nights arrested this pension directors and they were charged to court but when the case got to court a man that stole over 6billion naira
With assest all over was told to pay back 700k naira as he agreed to a plea bargain and the judge let him go! did anybody praise Efcc the answer is no! Like I said onces a case as been charged to court pls ask the judiciary not Efcc again has there homework has been done

Some idiot that still refuse to read and understand that issue of prosecution is with the judiciary not Efcc , and because your the bigger idiot can't read all that I have written on prosecution and as of last year amnot so sure of the figures the Efcc had about 170 convictions even president Mohammed Buhari praised the Efcc during one of his victory speeches, @King of boys be patient they turn deaf ears to nnpc cause the president said it was a no go area ' chill in a couple of days u shall see wonders ,@ Demmy hope have been able answer your question about assets and funds recovered.
